Abstract

The abstract contains a brief description of the research problem and objectives, the methods used, and the research results. The emphasis in writing the abstract is primarily on the research findings. The abstract is written in both Indonesian and English. It is typed with single spacing and narrower margins compared to the right and left margins of the main text. Keywords should be included to describe the scope of the problem being studied and the key terms underlying the research. Keywords may consist of single words or word combinations. The number of keywords should be 3-5 words. These keywords are necessary for computerization. Searching for the research title and its abstract is facilitated by these keywords This community service activity aimed to provide literacy-based learning assistance as an effort to strengthen the character of elementary school students. The activity was conducted at SDN 105278 Tandam Hilir II as an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by lecturers of the Elementary School Teacher Education Program. The methods used included socialization, literacy-based learning assistance, interactive discussions, and learning practices integrated with character values. The target participants were elementary school students, with an emphasis on developing literacy skills and strengthening positive character traits such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and self-confidence. The results showed that students demonstrated high enthusiasm and active participation during the learning process. Students were able to understand the importance of literacy in learning activities and exhibited positive behavioral changes reflecting character strengthening. In addition, the school provided positive feedback on the implementation of the activity and considered literacy-based learning assistance to be an effective alternative learning strategy. This community service activity is expected to contribute to improving the quality of learning in elementary schools and to serve as a basis for sustainable community service programs.
