Abstract

Rhizobacteria is a heterogeneous group of bacteria that have niches on the surface of plant roots (rizospher) known as Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) because it has a significant influence on plant growth through the ability to produce hormones and improve the absorption of nutrients in the soil. This paper reviews and synthesizes 54 journals from the Scopus Database published between 2012 – 2022. The journal articles reviewed are categorized into the scope of rhizobacterium abundance and diversity in relation to its performance in the environment. The results of the review through abstract linkages with the theme of PGPR bacteria, endophytic bacteria and their abundance, resulted in 9 journals related to the scope. The abundance and diversity of these microbes has been widely reported in several studies related to their ability to increase plant growth, their adaptation in reducing stress levels in plants and chemical fertilizer pollution in the soil. The dominant topic that we found in this systematic review is the presence of microbes, especially Rhizobacteria in the soil and the environment, which has the ability to improve plant performance, improve soil structure and nutrient absorption and degrade heavy metals and chemicals.
